The Luther Seminary Learning Systems and Technology Committee authorized and purchased an EndNote site license for Luther Seminary faculty and students. EndNote facilitates the process of compiling bibliographic data. You can easily create and correctly format citations and bibliographies for your research papers and theses.

• Installing EndNote on your home computer
  EndNote is installed on all library and lab computers. Students who wish to install the program on their own computer must sign an EndNote Terms of Use Agreement first. Stop by Computer Services in room 110F, Northwestern Hall to sign the agreement and check out the install CD.

• Distance students who wish to use the program should download the Agreement form, sign and mail it, along with a check for $3 to

  This output style makes it easy for you to create an annotated Bibliography that lists basic information (author, title, publisher, year) and the abstract for each citation. • Using Cite While You Write: Download a handout on how to use Word & Endnote to create footnotes and a bibliography in your paper or thesis. Word 2008 (for Macs) is now compatible with CWYW. For more information go to the EndNote website.

  A sample EndNote library has been created using the sources listed in The Shortcut. You may download it here. Be sure to have the latest output style in place. You can use this sample library to determine what the correct reference types, fields and data are for the sources in The Shortcut. It has been tested (endlessly!); you may also wish to download this document that proves all these examples do, in fact, output correctly when used in conjunction with templates and CWYW. [These examples were created using EndNote 9. They should import easily if you are using X.2.]
