Courses

BooksStudents travel through Luther Seminary's Master of Divinity (M.Div.) curriculum. Students in the M.Div. DL program complete two-thirds of the courses online, taking the remaining one-third of the courses through two-week intensives held on campus each January and June. The basic rhythm of the academic year for M.Div. DL students includes:

  • Fall Semester (13 weeks) - online
  • January Intensive (2 weeks, plus pre- and post-intensive work) - on campus
  • Spring Semester (13 weeks) - online
  • June Intensive (2 weeks, plus pre- and post-intensive work) - on campus

To complete the M.Div. DL program, you may choose from various pathways. Determining your best option happens in conversation with Luther Seminary faculty and staff along with your synod candidacy committee or other denominational oversight body. Some of these options are described in this PDF document.
