Media Services Policies

All equipment needs are coordinated through the Media Services office. All requests are subject to availability of equipment.

Ordering Equipment

Equipment will be reserved by submitting a formal request to Media Services. Requests should be made via online equipment reservation form or printable reservation form.

Requests should be made at least 2 days in advance to avoid scheduling conflicts. Requests made less than 24 hours in advance may or may not be honored, depending on availability of equipment and personnel. Please plan ahead and make requests in advance.

  • Faculty –  Equipment required for classes on a regular basis should be reserved one week prior to the beginning of each school session. Since some rooms have permanent equipment installed, alerting staff to ongoing needs may help when assigning classrooms.
  • Large Events –  Please consult directly with Media Services staff to reserve specific equipment needs for all presenters. Tom van Deusen, 651 641 3256

Media Services will be responsible for delivery and pickup of equipment unless otherwise noted.

Malfunctions and Repairs

It is extremely important that all equipment problems are reported as soon as possible. Please DO NOT leave a note on equipment. Report an equipment problem.

Training Sessions

Before using the equipment, you must have prior experience with it, or must have completed a training session. Training sessions may be arranged with the Media Services office. At the discretion of the Media Services staff, a technician may be required for operation of equipment.

Use of the Equipment

Equipment is available for seminary purposes only, and is restricted to the guidelines below. Any exceptions to this policy will be made at the discretion of the Media Services staff.

  1. Coursework – Priority will be given to use by faculty, staff and students as it relates to the course objectives of the seminary curriculum. Authorization for students is required by the course instructor.
  2. Seminary events – Equipment may be used by official organizations of the seminary for on-campus events; or by faculty and staff conducting off-campus seminars when specialized equipment is necessary and unavailable on-site.
  3. Public events on campus – Equipment rental fees apply.
