The Rev. Herbert F. Brokering

Herb Brokering, Lutheran pastor, educator and hymn writer, died Nov. 7, 2009. Among his best known hymns are "Thine the Amen" (ELW 826), "Earth and All Stars!" (ELW 731), "Praise, Praise! You Are My Rock" (ELW 862) and "Alleluia! Jesus is Risen!" (ELW 377). Pastor Brokering was a lecturer in Christian Education at Luther Seminary from 1968 to 1992.
