Orientation to Online Learning

Welcome to Luther Seminary's orientation to online learning. This orientation is designed to help you prepare for your online courses at Luther Seminary.

It is divided into four units and within each unit you can navigate to various sections, letting you set your own pace based on the relevancy of the content and your level of competency with the material. Completing all four units will take approximately one hour.

Unit 1 - Your Computer »

Determine if your computer is as ready as you are to take an online course at Luther Seminary. You will also learn about using your personal computer to work with the Luther Seminary network.

Unit 2 - MyLutherNet »

MyLutherNet is the web component for your course. This unit will focus on how to interact with MyLutherNet for your online course.

Unit 3 - Library »

Learn about the services offered by the library and how to use them remotely.

Unit 4 - Learning Well »

New learning environments often require adapting existing ways of thinking, organizing, and studying. Here, by highlighting common characteristics of online learners, we help you consider ways you might reshape or redefine your learning style.
