Searching Scholarly Databases

We provide access to many fine databases. Some of the most frequently-used licensed databases are:

• ATLA Religion Database: The primary index to journal articles, essays, and reviews on topics in religion and theology. Links to the full text of articles in some journals are provided. Tips on searching ATLA are found here (.pdf)
• WorldCat:  A database of records for millions of books, AV resources, and digital media cataloged by libraries worldwide.
• Gale Virtual Reference Library: A collection of reference encyclopedias and dictionaries in database format. Search one or all. Among the available titles are:

• Academic Search Premier: An index to academic and general interest periodical literature covering most disciplines. Many citations also include the full text of the article.
