Singing the Faith Hymn
Festival
Oct. 25, 2009
Luther Seminary
Olson Campus Center
The Luther Seminary community once again looks forward to the annual Singing
the Faith Hymn Sing. This year's dinner and worship service will be held at
7:00 p.m. on
Sunday, Oct. 25 in the Luther Seminary Olson Campus Center. This also marks
the twenty-second anniversary of the choral event.
Founded in the choral tradition of St. Olaf College, Magnum Chorum will
perform under the direction of Chris Aspaas. The hymns performed will
highlight this year's theme focusing on the transition from repentance to
joy. Martin Luther's writings about confession and forgiveness in the
Catechism inform both the theme and the music selection.
A free-will donation will be taken
during the program. All proceeds will go to the Luther Seminary FRIENDS
Endowed Scholarship Fund. This event is open to the public.
Dinner tickets are $15.00 per person; dinner begins at 5:30 p.m.
Advance reservations are required by Oct. 21.
