Online Registration Directions

For returning students and newly admitted students who have received a letter from admissions/computer services confirming their admission to Luther Seminary indicating their student ID number and MyLutherNet password:

Please use the LutherWiki > TechnologyHelp Web > MyLutherNet for most of your technology questions/directions. You will find information there on how to register for courses, check your degree progress, find your course schedule, check your holds, log into MyLutherNet, pay bills online, print an unofficial transcript and update your personal information.

Independent Studies/Audits/UpGrades: May NOT be registered online. Independent Study forms for M.A., M.Div., and M.S.M. students must be signed and returned to the Office of the Registrar. Independent Study and upgrade forms for all M.Th. and Ph.D. (GTE) students must be signed by both instructor and the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and returned to the Office of Graduate Theological Education.

The Office of the Registrar reserves the right to drop any class for any student where:

  • Prerequisite has not yet been met;

  • Courses are outside the student's division/degree program (i.e., M.Div. students may not register for Ph.D. 8000-level courses; M.Div. students may not register for M.S.M. courses (MU5000-level courses). In order to take courses outside their division, M.A., M.Div. and M.S.M. students must obtain written permission from the instructor; all Graduate Theological Education students must obtain written permission of both the instructor and the associate dean.); and/or

  • Courses are outside the student's status level (i.e., M.Div. juniors/middlers/interns may not register for senior-level 3000-level courses).

Student Responsibility:

  • Be sure to view your schedule after completing all transactions; it's your responsibility to verify your registration.
  • Be sure to logout after completing all transactions for security reasons.

On-line registration cannot occur and in-person/mail-in forms cannot be processed if astudent has a hold on their record. Clear all holds as soon as possible.
