Sign up to serve as a Pulpit Supply preacher!

Many Luther Seminary faculty, staff and students avail themselves of the opportunity to do supply preaching. Congregations requesting a pulpit supply preacher from Luther Seminary are encouraged to offer an honorarium of $125 for one service plus $25 for each additional service. Congregations are also asked to use synod guidelines to reimburse preachers for travel expenses. The current synod recommendation is $0.44½ per mile, or the full cost of round-trip airfare, plus meals and lodging as needed.

Most student supply preachers are in their second or fourth year of study. First year students who serve as supply preachers must have completed one semester at Luther Seminary. For more information contact the Seminary Pastor's Office at (651) 651-523-1614 or lmandery@luthersem.edu.
