A Brand New Year, A Brand New Start

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. - Ecclesiastses 3:1

Change is good. We hear it often in the world, and while many believe it to be true, sometimes change is hard to undergo. But overall, change is good.

With the belief of Ecclesiastes in mind, the Staff Enrichment Committee is changing. While still keeping with the purpose of enhancing working relationships and conditions, the committee will be taking on a new look and process for doing this and we need your help.

First, our name is changing. The committee will now be known as: SPOT - or the Seminary Professionals Organization Team. We chose this name because we feel it represents the employees here at Luther.

As we build together this year we will bring a few changes helping to bridge our relationships and grow as a professional team, beginning with this website. A few things we'll be posting here:

  • A "Meet Your Colleagues" section. We want to know YOU! We'll be highlighting a section each month, talking about what you do for Luther and who you are.
  • A newsletter (and archives) will be found here with news articles and tips. If you prefer the handheld version, please print it!
  • Prayer Partners - a open invitation to whomever would like to participate. Email Sara to sign up. More info on this to come.

Please stay tuned as the group continues to flourish, grow and support you!

Join the Seminary Professionals Organization Team

We are looking for volunteers for the Seminary Professionals Organization Team. Email Sara to put your name in to be part of this exciting new group.

The team will be made up of at least 5, but no more than 7, volunteers, selected by Don Lewis (VP of Admin and Finance and ex officio of the Administrative Cabinet directed committee) for a 1-year renewable term (up to 3 years).

Please submit your name by September 22. Members will be chosen the following week and the new team will be introduced at the Fall Gathering, October 2.
