Before Thanksgiving, those members who made a financial pledge for the current year but have not yet pledged for the next are sent this letter. In it they're told their pledge will be renewed at the current level unless they inform the church otherwise.

Dear Mount Olivet Church member,

Happy Thanksgiving! My prayer is that you and your family will have a wonderful time of sharing gratitude for the past year and asking God to bless the coming year.

We have missed receiving your financial commitment for 2004. We assume this is just an oversight on your part. With that in mind, we are extending your 2003 financial commitment at the same level through 2004. If this is not your wish and you would like to increase your pledge as many others have done for next year, please call the office with the correct information or return your pledge cards as soon as possible.

These are exciting days at Mount Olivet. New members are joining our congregation and our programs are growing. More than ever before, we need your financial support. Thanks for your financial support of this church in the past. We hope you will continue to pray for your congregation and participate actively in the life of your church.

Very sincerely,
Pastor Paul M. Youngdahl

P.S. I hope to see you in church on Sunday. A strong congregation is a worshiping congregation.
