Artist in residence found the perfect fit at Luther Seminary

As Luther Seminary's artist in residence, Emilie Bouvier got to explore her twin passions for photography and theology, and witness the ways in which they meet.

"To be able to explore and experiment with that here has been wonderful and a really great opportunity for me to really pull together both sides of me—the artistic side and then to also be studying and be a theologian and what that can look like.

"Bringing art into the conversation is a way of adding a different element, a different layer of understanding and exploring beyond just talking, beyond just words. To me, doing photography is very much a spiritual process."
