Centered LifeŽ Catalog Highlights Resources for Home, Church and Small-Group Study
by Kelsey Holm, Communication Specialist
The Faith & Life Resource & Gift Guide for Christian Living Every Day, published in conjunction with Luther Productions, provides more than 25 resources in the categories of faith basics, faith and calling, faith and culture, and faith practices.
"Our understanding of our callings is worked out in our communities of faith—where together with other Christians we can discover what it means to live faithfully each and every day—in our homes, workplaces and neighborhoods," says Sally Peters, interim director, Center for Lifelong Learning.
The books, audio resources and DVDs included in the catalog can be used by individuals and congregations, but are perhaps most useful in smallgroup settings.
"People learn best in small groups," says Peters. "Christians can find community in small groups where they come together to provide support and accountability for their daily vocations."
To order a complimentary copy of the Faith & Life Resource & Gift Guide, e-mail terickso@luthersem.edu or call 651-646-5526. For more information and updates, or to view resources, visit www.centeredlife.org/catalog.
Variety of Resources Available
The mission of our congregations is to nurture people in the naming of their gifts, the knowledge of how to live their faith in every situation and the confidence to make their unique contributions to God's sustaining work. God wants each of us to find our place in the world, the place where we experience belonging and make a difference.
Materials available in the Faith & Life Resource & Gift Guide are organized into four categories:
Faith Basics: Tools that teach the fundamentals of the Christian faith.
Faith and Calling: Tools that support callings at home, work and in the community.
Faith and Culture: Tools that aid reflection on faith in the context of today's world.
Faith Practices: Tools that encourage prayer and promote understanding of Scripture.
