Nina Joy
Nina Joy, a Master of Arts senior, "kind of fell into youth ministry." The summers she spent serving at church camps led Nina to be encouraged to apply for youth ministry jobs. While it wasn't what she envisioned for her career, it quickly felt right and Nina knew she was called to ministry with young people.
After spending four years as a youth director at a congregation in rural South Dakota, Nina entered the Children, Youth and Family Ministry program, where she has learned to approach youth ministry more theologically. "I was challenged theologically by my ministry before, but I couldn't articulate it," she said. "I now do theology in a practical way. I don't think I'll ever think the same way again."
