Laundry Facilities

Laundries equipped with coin washers and dryers are
provided in the first level of 1598 Eustis for Burntvedt Court, in
the basement of Sandgren, and in the basement of Fulham and LDR
Apartments, for their residents.
These are to be used with care of the equipment in
mind and with consideration for other tenants using the machines.
Do not use the washers for dyeing. To avoid costly
repair bills, please do not overload the machines.
Do not use the laundry as a play area for children.
No unsupervised child should be in the laundry area at any
time.
A Fulham laundry room key is provided for each
family living in those units. Report all equipment problems to your
head resident.
Bulletin Boards

Please check the bulletin board in the stairwell and
laundry room for notices from your resident managers. If any
maintenance work must be done in your apartment, a notice may be
placed on the bulletin board or you may receive a phone call.
Halls and Stairwells

The seminary maintenance department will do the
cleaning of the halls and stairwells. According to fire ordinances
and for safety purposes, floor-standing decorator items should not
be placed in halls.
Children must not be allowed to play in halls and
stairwells. Also, bicycles, roller skates/blades, and
other wheel toys may not be stored or used in
hallways.
"Quiet time" is observed in all apartment buildings
between 9:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. Sunday — Thursday, and 10:00 p.m. -
8:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday because of the need for studying and
smaller children’s bedtimes. Please do not vacuum, or have stereos
and TVs turned up between these times. Please be considerate of your
neighbors’ need for this "quiet time."
It is especially important to
keep the area in front of the mailboxes clear. Bike racks are
provided for bicycle storage; Burntvedt and Sandgren residents may
store bikes in the Sandgren basement. Bikes left outside should be
in the racks, not chained to trees, posts, or railings.
Stairwells should not be used for painting or
refinishing furniture. Contact the resident manager before beginning
your project.
Parking

Students must register their cars (free of charge)
with the Business Office. Parking tags will be issued at that time.
These must be displayed on the car.
Parking is provided for residents of Burntvedt Court
and Sandgren. Each tenant has one assigned parking stall. Second
cars, trucks, and trailers should always be parked in spots not
designated as visitor or reserved.
Please ask your visitors to park either in an
unmarked area or in a "visitor parking" space. Residents are
responsible for shoveling snow from their own assigned parking
space.
Students who are residents of Burntvedt Court and
Sandgren are not to drive to the Upper Campus
and park during class hours.
Unauthorized cars will be towed. Parking for
residents of Fulham
Apartments is available near the entrance to the
building on Fulham Street. Cars should be parked parallel to the
curb. LDR parking is in the rear of the building.
For the safety of our children PLEASE
observe and obey speed limits and stop
signs in parking lots.
Car Heater Plug-ins

Residents will be notified in late October
concerning heater outlet rentals. The resident managers assign
heater outlets in November after payment of the fee at the Business
Office. Heater plug season is Nov. 5-March 15. Check with the
Business Office or resident manager regarding their rental.
These outlets must be reserved each year through the
Business Office. Your cord should be kept in your car when not in
use so that it will not be stolen or damaged. It is not
permitted to have an electric cord hanging out of
your apartment window for any purpose.
Maintenance on Cars

Clean up the pavement under your cars if you change
oil or if your car leaks.
Used oil is not permitted in any container on
campus. Tenants must dispose of oil at a service station. (Standard
Oil, Phillips, and Citgo will accept it.)
Mail Delivery Service

Mail is delivered to each building directly. In the
1588 and 1608 buildings of Burntvedt Court, your address must
include the letter of your building (A, B, or C) as well as your
apartment number [Example: 1588-A Eustis, Apt 101]. Mail delivered
to Sandgren and Fulham should have the apartment number in the
address. Mail will not be delivered to you unless your name is on
the mailbox. The mailbox key will be issued to you directly at the
same time you receive your apartment key. This should be returned
with your apartment key at the time of vacating.
A secure mail drop box is located in Sandgren,
immediately inside the main entrance. Burntvedt residents should not
leave outgoing mail in their stairwells .
