Financial Aid
Bill Silva-Breen is the Director of Financial Aid and Housing at Luther Seminary. When you have questions about financial aid, check with the student worker on duty in the Dean of Students' Office reception area or call to make an appointment to see Bill in person.
Tuition, fees, dormitory rent and other charges are payable at registration or at the beginning of each semester. Apartment rent is payable the first of each month in the Business Office.
Financial assistance is available to students in several forms, including seminary grant-in-aid, work-study, campus employment, Federal Perkins and Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loans. Students are also encouraged to seek financial assistance from their home parish, synods, and other scholarships (see resource book in the Financial Aid Office).
Short-term loans are available to students through the Financial Aid Office.
Applications for financial aid are available in the Financial Aid Office.
These forms must be processed to determine eligibility for federal loans, work-study, and seminary grants.
Seminary grants are applied directly to student accounts. Consult the catalog or the Financial Aid Director for additional information at 651-641-3463 or finaid@luthersem.edu.
