Student Council

Student Council is the student organization that advocates through a number of programs for high quality community, academic and student life at the seminary. Student Council meets monthly as a full council and typically one other time a month in smaller action teams.

During 2007-2008 the seminary will be engaged in a strategic planning process, giving even more importance to the leadership voice provided by the student council.

The Student Council is made up of 15 elected students and 2 appointed student members. Each M.Div. class has 2 seats on the council, each MA class has 2 seats on the council.

There are also 5 At-large seats designated to gain broader representation of the student community. These seats are open to any class/degree program so long as the nominee meets one of the designated requirements. There is one seat available to each of the following: an international student, an ecumenical student, a second career student (35 yrs old or older), a commuter student, and one other at-large representative.
