  1. Go to the Tools menu in BibleWorks.

Changing the Bible Versions Displayed

To change the Bible versions you are viewing,

  1. Go to the File menu in the Synopsis Window.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. At the top of your window, you will see a line of code that says: /Versions NAU NAU NAU NAU. This tells you that the New American Standard (1995) version is set to display for Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The /Display NAU tells you that just the NAU will be displayed in the window.
  4. Change these four version codes to whatever alternative version you would like. For instance, you could change the line to /Versions NRS NRS NRS NRS.Then either add NRS to the /Display code to have both the NRS and NAU displayed. If you would only like the NRS displayed, change that to NRS as well. SynopsisEdit.png
  5. Click File > Run. You should now see your synoptic verses displayed in the version you have specified.
  6. When you go to close the Synopsis window, you will be told that the synopsis file has changed and asked if you want to save it.
  7. Select Yes to keep the changes you've made. You will be prompted to either re-name the existing file or simply overwrite the file titled, "aland."
  8. Select No if you would like the Synopsis window to revert to its default settings after you close it.
