Northwestern Hall

Northwestern hall was built in 1967 as a complete seminary
(Northwestern Seminary). It had classrooms, library, offices and
even a
dining room. However in 1982, it was renovated to hold administrative
offices and classrooms.

| The Chapel of the Cross was built in the shape of the
Jerusalem Cross (all sides are equal). It is used for worship,
classes (worship and music), lectures, concerts and weddings. It
is also rented each Sunday to a mission Mennonite Congregation.

| In the middle of the worship space is a sculpture by Paul Granlund
of the crucified Christ. It
is filled with agony and a sense of defeat, but the side
pieces resembling a ladder remind us that the work of Christ was
still under construction as he died on the cross. Granlund
asked that it be placed in the middle of the sanctuary to remind
us that Christ promised to be with us each day, in the middle of
our lives, and that our relationship to Him is not finished, but also
under construction each day. |

| The Auditorium was recently renovated to accommodate 50
laptop computers and 100 other seats. It is our “smart
classroom”. It is a classroom and lecture space and can be
rented for seminars. |
