{"id":180,"date":"2019-06-29T20:54:09","date_gmt":"2019-06-29T20:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.luthersem.edu\/academics\/?page_id=180"},"modified":"2023-07-13T15:56:55","modified_gmt":"2023-07-13T15:56:55","slug":"registrar-info","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.luthersem.edu\/academics\/registrar-info\/","title":{"rendered":"Registrar Info"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Transcripts<\/h2>\n<p>Transcript requests are now only being taken through an online process.<\/p>\n<h3>General Information<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Electronic transcripts are now available.<\/li>\n<li>Official and unofficial transcripts are requested through the same process and have the same fees.<\/li>\n<li>Transcripts may only be requested by the student.<\/li>\n<li>Transcripts will not be released if you have an outstanding balance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Current student with an active MyLutherNet account can <a href=\"https:\/\/sso.parchment.com\/Shibboleth.sso\/Login?entityID=https:\/\/ssp.luthersem.edu\/simplesaml\/saml2\/idp\/metadata.php\">request a transcript here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Alumni will need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.parchment.com\/\">create an account here<\/a> to request a transcript.<\/p>\n<h3>Fees<\/h3>\n<p>Electronic Transcript:\u00a0 \u00a0$10<\/p>\n<p>Print (paper): $15 + mailing cost<\/p>\n<p>Mailing options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$2.50 USPS Domestic<\/li>\n<li>$5.00 USPS International<\/li>\n<li>$25.00 Expedite Domestic<\/li>\n<li>$47.50 Expedite International<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Manage your course details<\/h2>\n<p>Registration for each semester begins a couple months before the actual semester.\u00a0 Students register based on their class status or year in their degree program. It\u2019s important to point out that the Registrar\u2019s Office works with each student to ensure that they finish their degree on time.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"compact\">\n<li>Early registration for fall semester occurs during the summer, with information available in May.<\/li>\n<li>Early registration for January term occurs in late October.<\/li>\n<li>Early registration for spring semester occurs in early December.<\/li>\n<li>Registration for summer term is typically in April.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recommended term\u00a0course load is 4.5 courses. Maximum load is 5.0 courses for fall and spring semesters. Maximum load for summer term\u00a0is 3.0 courses; however, be advised that this is a very heavy course load. Maximum load for January term is 2.0 courses.<\/p>\n<h2>Auditing courses<\/h2>\n<p>For more information on auditing classes, please consult the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luthersem.edu\/academics\/catalog\/\">academic catalog<\/a>\u00a0or contact the Registrar&#8217;s Office at <a href=\"mailto:registrar@luthersem.edu\">registrar@luthersem.edu<\/a>.
