In addition to the Jubille Scholarship, we offer three distinguished scholarships that include full tuition and a living stipend for some of our stand-out applicants:

Presidential Scholarship
Deadline: April 1
This is for newly admitted residential and distance students in the M.Div. and M.A. programs. Scholarships are awarded to students who embody the Luther Seminary vision statement to “lead faithful innovation for the gospel of Jesus Christ in a rapidly changing world.”
A separate application, along with a resume is required. Students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher with leadership and ministry experience are encouraged to apply.
- Scholarship will be compensated at full tuition per full 1.0 course.
- Scholarships will be granted for a maximum of 3 years/16 courses (M.A.) or 5 years/30 courses (M.DIV) not including internship year.
- Along with tuition, new Presidential recipients will also receive a $500 per course living stipend.
- Scholarship amount will increase in size accordingly with any tuition increases as student progresses in years. The stipend will remain at $500 per course for the duration of your degree.
- Priority Deadline for acceptance of the scholarship (if selected) is April 1.
Richard Wallace Scholarships
Deadline: April 1
The Richard Wallace Scholarship recognizes leaders who are students of color or students from new immigrant communities and is for residential and distance students in the M.Div. and M.A. programs. Scholarships are awarded to students who embody the Luther Seminary vision statement to “lead faithful innovation for the gospel of Jesus Christ in a rapidly changing world.” This scholarship was created in honor of Dr. Richard Wallace. A faculty member of Luther Seminary, he was a “champion for peace and justice.” His legacy honors the diversity of God’s people and ministry. For more information on Dr. Richard Wallace.
A separate application, along with a resume is required. Students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher with leadership and ministry experience are encouraged to apply.
- Scholarship will be compensated at full tuition per full 1.0 course.
- Scholarships will be granted for a maximum of 3 years/16 courses (M.A.) or 5 years/30 courses (M.DIV) not including internship year.
- Along with tuition, new Wallace recipients will also receive a $500 per course living stipend.

Beloved Community Scholarship
Deadline: April 1
The Beloved Community Scholars Program provides a $5,000/year stipend ($2,500/Semester) for up to two years for students to serve 10 hours/week in a particular context (i.e. churches and organizations). This program helps develop Christian Public Leaders who form and lead communities with prophetic imagination around issues of social, climate, economic, and racial justice concerns for all people.
The Beloved Community Scholars Program is facilitated by the Contextual Learning team at Luther Seminary. Participants in this program will demonstrate an unflinching commitment to understanding theology, praxis and the intersectionality of race and culture.
- Once enrolled at Luther Seminary, Beloved Community Scholars will participate in BCS-sponsored activities, including participation in a two-day BCS orientation retreat at the beginning of the academic year, monthly gatherings, BCS-led chapel services, and the Beloved Community Institute in the Spring/Summer.
- Beloved Community sites will receive $5000/year ($2500/Semester) for up to two years to allow students to serve 10 hrs/week in a particular context doing intersectional justice work. Not awarded during internship.
- Newly-admitted and current/continuing students are eligible to apply.

- If a new student, complete application for admission including all required documents by April 1.
- Complete scholarship application including all required documents by April 1.
The scholarship amounts listed here are effective beginning Fall of 2020-2021.
