Internship is an opportunity for students to practice all that they\u2019ve been studying in the classroom while forming their pastoral identity in the context of ministry among God\u2019s people. We thank you for your interest in serving as an internship site for a Luther Seminary intern!<\/p>\n

Our commitment is to arrange the best possible placements for all of our interns. We take into account the students\u2019 learning goals, experiences, and preferences and seek to make the optimal placement for each student.<\/p>\n

Please email the Contextual Learning office: contextuallearning@luthersem.edu<\/a> to schedule a pre-internship interview before completing an application.<\/p>\n

Internship Forms<\/h2>\n

PRE-INTERNSHIP FORMS<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Site application for internship<\/strong> – Forms for the coming academic year’s internships are due January 31st.<\/li>\n
  • Sexual harassment policy<\/strong> for your site<\/li>\n
  • Healthy Boundaries<\/strong> (or equivalent) certificate of completion within the last 3 years<\/li>\n
  • Supervisor preferences<\/strong> – after interviewing students, supervisors submit their preferences to inform our placement work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    INTERNSHIP EVALUATIONS<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Three Month Evaluation<\/strong> – completed by student and supervisor, submitted by the student in the Moodle course for internship<\/li>\n
    • Three-Month Student Response Review<\/strong> \u2013 review your intern\u2019s response to your evaluation<\/li>\n
    • Three Month Student Evaluation Review<\/strong> \u2013 review the evaluation submitted by your intern<\/li>\n
    • Midpoint Evaluation<\/strong> \u2013 completed by student, committee and supervisor, submitted by the student in the Moodle course for internship<\/li>\n
    • Midpoint Student Response Review<\/strong> \u2013 review your intern\u2019s response to your evaluation<\/li>\n
    • Midpoint Student Evaluation Review<\/strong> \u2013 review the evaluation submitted by your intern<\/li>\n
    • Final Evaluation<\/strong> \u2013 completed by student, committee, and supervisor, submitted by the student in the Moodle course for internship<\/li>\n
