Site applications must be updated and resubmitted every year.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The congregation\u2019s financial obligations include:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stipend<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FICA<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">housing and utilities and\/or housing and utility allowance<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">work-related expenses<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">car\/mileage reimbursement<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cluster meeting expenses<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">new supervisor orientation registration fee (when applicable)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">travel pool fee<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">administration fee<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">moving expenses.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please refer to the Internship Handbook for details on these financial obligations.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luther Seminary requires that every congregation which hosts an intern must have in place a policy against sexual harassment. The text of the congregation\u2019s policy is a required part of the congregation\u2019s application form. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1zVMASLuvjbg4tyV-DYUULQ4GiREMisGv\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">View a sample policy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. If you have any questions about the formation of such a policy for your congregation, please contact the Contextual Learning Office.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The supervisor<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supervisors must attend a Supervisor Training facilitated by Contextual Learning prior to the beginning of internship. If you have not attended in the last 5 years, you must complete the training again.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The supervisor is responsible for forming and educating the internship committee.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The supervisor will arrange at least one hour per week for a supervisory meeting with the intern, concerning theological reflection, pastoral identity and ministry. This time should be kept free from external interruptions and routine calendar planning, and should focus on the intern\u2019s development as a pastor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The supervisor will attend fall and spring internship cluster retreats with the intern.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The supervisor will complete the evaluation forms as required by the intern\u2019s judicatory body.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The internship committee<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An internship committee, usually consisting of five to eight congregational members, will be a special resource to the intern. The committee will observe the intern\u2019s work, engage in regular discussions with the intern, and provide feedback and evaluation. Please review the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.luthersem.edu\/context\/internship\/internship-committees\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Committee Handbook.<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The internship committee and the committee chair are designated prior to the start of the internship and will welcome and launch the intern and their internship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The internship committee will meet at least once a month with the intern.
