Christian Public Leader: New Program Updates

If you are a ministry or nonprofit mentor who would like to become part of the new CPL program, please contact Contextual Learning by Thursday July 31, 2014. In early August, we will be contacting interested mentor pastors with the new Mentor Christian Public Leader Site Profile Form, along with details about the improved placement process and inaugural launch event on Sept. 12, 2014. If you have any questions, please stop by the office of Contextual Learning, call us at 651-641-3266 or email!

If you are a student who would like to join the new CPL program, please review your degree plan to determine whether taking CPL is right for you. If you want to explore academic and theological questions in a context, if you’re taking coursework that requires you to work on projects in a context, or if your candidacy committee requires you to participate in a context for a semester or more, then this course is definitely for you! For registration details and more on how to participate, please see:

Next year, Teaching Congregations will be offered only to students completing their graduation requirements as per the distributive curriculum. This will remain a non-credit degree requirement. Students and supervisors should be in touch with Contextual Learning at
