Internship 2016-2017: Internship Application and Interview Reminders

February is a very exciting month! Our internship site application deadline for internships beginning Fall 2016 was January 31, 2015. Thanks to a very attentive and involved group of internship site applicants, our internship site list for this Fall 2016 was posted punctually on February 5, 2016. This month, many of our Fall 2016 pastoral interns will review and interview with available internship sites February 15 - February 26. Our placement process will conclude this March and April, with our New Supervisor Workshop scheduled for May 10 - 11, 2016.

We thank each of our internship site applicants for completing an internship site application and for engaging in this interview and placement process. We are so grateful for the work you do in the shaping of future leaders of the church in the world that God loves. Meanwhile, we also thank our newest group of future pastoral interns for bringing open hearts and open minds to this new chapter on a daily basis.

As potential internship congregations and future pastoral interns wait in hopefulness and prayer, we'd like to share a small meditation with you.

SOURCE OF ALL BLESSINGS,

you bless us with church bells.

for centuries these bronze-tongued

messengers have called us together

to worship, awakened us in the

morning, reminded us at noon to

pray for peace, invited us, when

evening comes, to rest from work

and celebrate: they greet arriving

pilgrims and ring for our last

pilgrimage. May I hear them in my

heart, whether or not my ear does.

From "No. 82," 99 Blessings: An Invitation to Life, by Brother David Steindl-Rast.

May you hear the church bells in your heart, even amid many practical details. May you welcome the Holy Spirit as you wait to learn of the results of the internship placement process.

Please join us in praying for those congregations who hope to welcome a new learning leader, as well as for those students who now prepare for an important new step in their journey.
