Total tuition (for students admitted in 2018) is $15,000 for the entire program, payable in annual payments across the first three years of the program. (Rates are subject to change for students admitted in 2019 -- but guaranteed at that rate once the student is admitted.)

Other required fees (beyond tuition) include:

  • A student activity fee of $10/semester.
  • An annual technology/library fee of $150.

  • A one-time candidacy fee of $600, assessed when the thesis proposal is approved.

  • A one-time graduation fee of $150, assessed when the thesis project is accepted, prior to Commencement.

The program is structured to enable students to complete it in three years. Students continuing after the third year will be assessed a $500 per year continuation fee.

The Academic Catalog gives the complete list of fees as well.

Travel and living expenses

Students are required to bear travel and living expenses. Limited housing may be available in Stub Hall on Luther Seminary's campus but is not guaranteed to students in the first year of the program. Information about other housing options is made available upon receipt of a confirmation deposit.
