First year Master of Divinity student Elizabeth Gallen is deep into her journey to ordination. She and her family relocated this summer from warm Southern California so she could be a residential student at Luther Seminary. Her call to ordained ministry was nurtured while she served a congregation as Youth and Family Ministry Leader. Now in her second semester of studies, she sees God shaping her as a leader who will wash feet and live into the hope for God’s reign both now and yet to come.
She is clear that she couldn’t be moving toward ordination without scholarship support. In fact, her on-campus job includes calling donors to say thank you for their generosity – and for making her journey possible.
