Luther Seminary invites you to use this year’s Lenten devotional, “Oh, Love, How Deep,” for personal or congregational use this coming season. This year’s Lenten devotional takes its title from Thomas á Kempis’ famous hymn written in the fourteenth century. In seven verses, the hymn follows the story of Christ’s birth life, death and resurrection, making it the perfect hymn for Lenten reflection.
The devotions are written by three faculty and three students from Luther Seminary.
Jessica Christy, M.Th. Student
Cameron B. R. Howard, Assistant Professor of Old Testament
Annie Langseth, M.Div. Student
Mark Throntveit, Professor and Elva B. Lovell Chair of Old Testament
Kathryn Schifferdecker, Associate Professor of Old Testament; Bible Division Chair
Jim Vitale, M.Div. Student
The devotional is now available online as printable collections. Both regular and large-print editions are available for download.
