In “Introduction to Philosophy: Christianity and the Big Questions,” a new book co-authored by Alan Padgett, professor of systematic theology at Luther Seminary, and Steve Wilkens, professor of theology and ethics at Azusa Pacific University, takes on a dozen of life’s biggest questions.
Padgett and Wilkens encourage Christians to embrace questions of life, truth, and knowledge, and to see human curiosity as a gift from God. They argue that we have a spiritual duty to probe life’s most enduring questions and provide key insights related to the connections between Christianity and philosophy.
Daniel Speak, professor of philosophy, Loyola Marymount University says, “Wilkens and Padgett have a long-standing commitment to the project of philosophical education in Christian contexts and share pastoral sensibilities that allow them to anticipate objections and develop compelling motivations.”
