Lewis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rev. Karoline M. Lewis, Ph.D., is the Marbury E. Anderson Chair in Biblical Preaching at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN, where she has taught since 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis is the author of a number of books, including <i>Preaching the Word: Contemporary Approaches to the Bible For The Pulpit<\/i>; <i>Belonging: Five Keys to Unlocking Your Potential as a Disciple<\/i>; <i>A Lay Preacher\u2019s Guide: How to Craft a Faithful Sermon<\/i>; <i>Embody: Five Steps to Leading With Integrity<\/i>; <i>SHE: Five Keys to Unlock the Power of Women in Ministry<\/i> and <i>John: Fortress Biblical Preaching Commentaries<\/i>, as well as numerous articles, book chapters, and web resources. Lewis was one of a 100 religious scholars in the United States to be a part of the <i>Values and Voices Campaign 2017<\/i> (<a href=\"http:\/\/valuesandvoices.com\/\">valuesandvoices.com<\/a>) and again in 2021. <\/p>\n<p>Ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, Lewis oversees and is a contributing writer for the preaching resource <a href=\"http:\/\/www.workingpreacher.org\/\">Working Preacher<\/a> and has co-hosted the site&#8217;s weekly podcast, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.workingpreacher.org\/brainwave.aspx\">Sermon Brainwave<\/a>, since its inception.  Lewis is a popular presenter and leads conferences, workshops, and retreats internationally on the Gospel of John, the New Testament, interpreting the Bible, preaching, leadership, and women in ministry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rev.
