Lois Malcolm<\/b> (Ph.D., University of Chicago) holds the Olin and Amanda Fjelstad Reigstad Chair of Systematic Theology at Luther Seminary, where she has taught since 1994. Her theological perspective is shaped by her upbringing as the daughter of missionaries in the Philippines and an earlier career in linguistics. Prior to her work in theology, she earned an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Minnesota and taught English as a second language both in the U.S. and abroad. Her published works include Holy Spirit: Creative Power in Our Lives<\/i> (Fortress, 2009) and the edited volume God<\/i> for the Westminster Collection of Christian Theology (Westminster John Knox, 2012).
