Schifferdecker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;`html<\/p>\n<p>Kathryn M Schifferdecker is the Elva B. Lovell Chair of Old Testament at Luther Seminary. She is also a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Ordained in 2001, Schifferdecker was associate pastor for five years at Trinity Lutheran Church, Arkdale, Wisc., before coming to Luther Seminary. She continues to regularly preach and teach at churches and continuing education events for ministers.<\/p>\n<p>Schifferdecker is a frequent contributor to <a href=\"http:\/\/workingpreacher.org\/\">WorkingPreacher.org<\/a>, EntertheBible.org, <i>Word &amp; World<\/i> and the author of <i>Out of the Whirlwind: Creation Theology in the Book of Job<\/i> (Harvard University Press, 2008). She has a forthcoming commentary on the book of Esther and is also writing another work on the book of Job, focusing on creation theology and the problem of suffering.
