"Purity, Disgust, and Love: Welcoming the Other"
Description: Hospitality -- our willingness and ability to offer "deep welcome" to the Other -- is at the heart of the service to which God calls us. How can we nurture our capacity to live in loving relationship with the many Others in our lives?
Dr. Dirk Lange, Assoc. Professor of Worship; Assoc. Dean, Graduate Theological Education, Luther Seminary
"Sacramental Disruption: Liturgy and Life in Martin Luther"
At the heart of Luther's reform of theology is a reform of liturgical practices. Proclamation through Word and sacrament is of highest priority to Luther. In this lecture, I explore what his reform of sacramental practices means for worship and for life, both for each of us individually and for our faith communities.
