This year's event is centered on the theme, "Preserving Our Stories," and will feature Philip J. Formo as the keynote speaker. Formo is the author of "Papa, A Life Remembered," a memoir about his grandfather.
Philip J. Formo, former special education teacher and retired pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, is the grandson of "Papa." Educated at Pacific Lutheran University, St. Cloud State University and Luther Seminary, Formo served parishes in the Minnesota communities of Austin, Roseville, Rochester and Bloomington. He is the co-author of a number of "Augsburg Sermons for Children." In retirement he continues to serve as a clergy coach and enjoys writing and traveling.
