D.Min. Program Hones Pastors’ Missional Skills
Luther Seminary’s Doctor of Ministry program in Congregational Mission and Leadership (CML) has given Sacia and Neil Vik a new outlook on their future in the ministry. “We no longer want to go and be ‘Wal-Mart greeters,'” says Sacia, who began the program with Neil in 2005 at a time when both were feeling stuck as pastors. “There were times in the parish, we would get so frustrated, we’d want to say, ‘The heck with this.'”

Asamoah-Gyadu Joins Luther as Schiotz Visiting Professor
Last spring, Dr. Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu from Trinity Theological Seminary of Ghana was named the recipient of the Schiotz International Fellowship/Professorship for 2007. Since January, he has been working with Luther students exploring the encounter and engagement between the traditional and the indigenous religions of Africa and Christianity in contemporary Africa.
