In this season of Easter, I am thinking often about the good news of Jesus\u2019 life, death, and resurrection and how this incredible story animates our mission at Luther Seminary: to educate leaders for the church.<\/p>\n
To meet the changing needs of church and world, we have been working to create systems at Luther Seminary that will support and sustain this mission for the long term. This is energizing and complex work. When we look around the church, we see the profound successes of our alumni, students, faculty, and staff in serving the church by witnessing faithfully to the gospel of Jesus Christ. So we are energized and filled with hope even as we move, with the church, into new ventures of which we cannot see the ending.<\/p>\n
We are called to faithful witness and to be good stewards of the resources God has provided. With great hope and with confidence in the Spirit\u2019s provision, we continue to work with partners to ensure the long-term financial sustainability and operational excellence of Luther Seminary. We continue to deliver theological education in ways that integrate innovative educational models with ongoing flexibility. A large part of that is our continued work toward the relocation of the seminary to a smaller physical campus and the design of dynamic spaces for that campus that support vibrant teaching, learning, and work environments.<\/p>\n
Some of this work is straightforward and some of it is complex and challenging. In all of it, we trust in God\u2019s promise of new life in Jesus Christ. This is what animates our mission.<\/p>\n
This mission remains steady. How we achieve it continues to be transformed day by day and season by season. For the whole community, it is an exciting time of discernment, prayer, and stepping out in faith. Thank you for supporting us in this work.<\/p>\n
