Hundreds of pastors and lay leaders from across the country converged on the Luther Seminary campus for Rethinking Stewardship, July 24-26.<\/p>\n

Presenters included Luther Seminary faculty members, who spoke alongside ELCA staff, nonprofit leaders and nationally acclaimed theologians.<\/p>\n

Luther Seminary’s Center for Stewardship Leaders and Center for Lifelong Learning worked together to plan the event.<\/p>\n

“The energy of the Rethinking Stewardship conference was amazing. More than 350 people came together to consider how their faith and their financial lives intersect. The speakers and the conversations were energizing for the entire three days,” said Charles “Chick” Lane, director of the Center for Stewardship Leaders.<\/p>\n

Attendees learned about consumerism, abundance and how much is “enough.” Rolf Jacobson, Luther Seminary professor of Old Testament, moderated the conversation.<\/p>\n

Members of the audience responded to speakers through an interactive message board. Their questions and ideas for generous stewardship streamed online throughout the conference.<\/p>\n
