Reference Types
In order for a citation (whether in a footnote or the bibliography) to display properly, you must have entered the correct data. It also matters that you have chosen the proper Reference Type. What type of resource are you adding to your EndNote Library?
- Book
- Book Section (use this for a chapter or essay by one author in a book edited by another author)
- Conference Proceedings
- Edited Book
- Electronic Resource
- Interview by author
- Journal Article
- Thesis
- Webpage
- etc.
There are about 35 different options to choose from when you create a new citation. Take the time to find the best one.
