New students were welcomed to Luther Seminary on Tuesday, Sept. 2 with First Week Orientation. Student Deans Patricia Lull and Roland Martinson served as the moderators for orientation and talked about life in the Luther Seminary community. On Wednesday, students had an opportunity to meet President Richard Bliese at a reception held outside Bockman Hall. That night was capped off with the ShareSaveSpend for Seminarians, during which Nathan Dungan provided financial insights. The theme of the night focused on the finances behind going to seminary.
The students participated in small-group activities throughout the week, which were based on a specific topic, and went off-site to visit places around the Twin Cities on Thursday. On Friday, the groups all presented their themes and experiences for the week and received feedback from professors Andrew Root and Diane Jacobson.
