| Thyatira was located in a Asia Minor (modern Turkey). It was situated in a fertile valley through which trade routes passed. Although damaged by an earthquake during the reign of Augustus (27 B.C.-A.D. 14), Thyatira was rebuilt with Roman help. | |||
