Site Information - [THIS SITE IS FULL]

Site keywords:traditional ministry multicultural ministry active laity women in ministry
What is your congregation or nonprofit organization all about:This is a 100 year old Norwegian Lutheran congregation that is working at reaching out to its changing neighborhood with the Gospel. Successful ministry has included an active After School program.
Please tell us a bit about your site:This congregation was started over 100 years ago by three Augsburg College women who began a Sunday School in Columbia Heights.
Our present strategic plan directs us to increasingly meet the needs of families and young adults.
The congregation has a history of welcoming seminary students and being receptive of their ministry.
Please tell us what a student can learn at your site:Students would have exposure to a diverse population. Students would be given opportunities to lead forums and studies on topics of their choice. We have a concern for the growing gap between whites and minorities. We have a long history of excellence in music. We continue to struggle to meet the needs of our community. Students will have the opportunity to observe pastoral collegiality.
