Congregation Description:The community around our congregation is mostly blue collar but with a strong arts community. Being around 18,000 people. We mostly are a Sunday only congregation - worship at 9:30am and Sunday School at 10:15am. We also serve a community meal on Sundays from 4pm - 6pm. We actively participate with Hope Coalition, Food shelf and other community organizations. Our challenge over the last three years has been going from a congregation with 1/3 of the people over 80 to a intergenerational church. We have been revamping our children and youth program to help us effectively disciple children and youth, and walk alongside families in the discipleship process. This upheaval has brought about some conflict and challenges, but also helped establish a strong base of leaders to help us move foreword in discipleship and evangelism. We need leaders who can help further disciple leaders and have a heart to reach out beyond our doors.
Congregation Keywords:Rural with suburban feel. Stable growth. Upswing in retirees and young families. Inter-generational. Revamped worship, children and youth ministry, discipleship.
