Making ministry happen

Students at Luther Seminary have heard the call to serve the people of God's world. Every day and in a multitude of ways, they are already making ministry happen. Whether serving a congregation or caring for their local community, their passion for sharing God's love is clearly at the core of their work.

Equipping pastors and other leaders for God's world continues to be at the heart of our mission. Many supporters have already made a valuable investment in that mission this year. With the Make it Happen Challenge, your new or renewed support will go twice as far for Luther students following God's call when you give to the Sustaining Fund by June 30.

Donor support makes up 51 percent of Luther Seminary's operating revenue when combining outright gifts and endowment income. Luther Seminary depends on faithful gifts from friends and alums to support future church leaders.

Gifts to the Sustaining Fund help the seminary:

  • Attract the best students and teachers
  • Create strong programming
  • Keep the cost of tuition down
  • Support the cost of operating the seminary

The Make it Happen Challenge has been graciously created by a committed friend of the seminary, to help motivate and encourage others to join with generous support. Your investment in future church leaders will be matched dollar for dollar for double the impact! Add your support to that of the many others like you who care about the future of the church by making your investment in church leaders today. Giving to the Sustaining Fund by June 30 will double your gift!
