"Let the Children Come Unto Me..."

The Children's Summit was certainly one of the most exciting events of the academic year at Luther Seminary. On April 4-5, the Luther campus was buzzing with more than 300 people gathered around the theme of "Welcoming Children."
 

Sustaining and Scholarship Funds Surpass Fundraising Goals

Showcasing the strong support of Luther Seminary donors, the Sustaining Fund and Scholarship Fund again surpassed fundraising goals for the year. During the 2007-2008 fiscal year 6,474 donors gave generously to support the mission of educating leaders for Christian communities.

The 2008-2009 schedule of Lay School of Theology classes is now available online.

Three of this year's classes, "Gospel of Mark," "Toward an Understanding of Islam" and "Crazy Talk: A Not-So-Stuffy Introduction to Theology." will be webcast for individuals or congregations who can't make it to the Luther Seminary campus.

M.Div. Graduate Credits Luther with Helping Him Think Missionally

Twelve miles west of Traverse City, Mich. is the resort community of Lake Ann, population 300. It is the home of Advent Lutheran Church, where Justin Grimm, a 2005 Master of Divinity graduate, serves. Grimm started Advent Lutheran as a mission start in December 2005, and it today worships more than 135 each Sunday.
