In February, 53 students participated in Luther Seminary’s Scholarship Weekend.
During Scholarship Weekend, students had the opportunity to:
- Build relationships with each other.
- Hear from the president and dean of students.
- Worship together.
- Have dinner with members of the Luther Seminary community.
- Tour campus.
- Interview with a panel of faculty, staff and students.
- Engage in a simulated class discussion with a Luther faculty member.
- Participate in panel conversations about life at Luther with current students.
In total, $590,030 in scholarships were given. The funds were awarded through a series of scholarships, including Presidential Scholarships (full-tuition awards), Leadership Scholarships, Wallace Scholarships and Trustee Scholarships. These scholarships are a tremendous help to students as they pursue their callings to serve as leaders in ministry.
Jennifer Olsen Krengel, director of admissions, said, “We were overwhelmed by the gifts and talents of the students who participated in Scholarship Weekend. Already leaders in their own communities, we are looking forward to their contributions to Luther Seminary as they live out their vocational calling to serve in God’s world.”
