Luther Seminary and the Global Mission Institute welcome the Rev. Dr. Falres Ilomo to the Luther community as the Schiotz Visiting International Professor Ilomo comes to St. Paul from Tanzania, where he serves as a lecturer in African studies and philosophy, evangelical theology, and cultural anthropology at the Iringa University College of Tumaini University.
While working on his own research this semester, he will speak in Luther Seminary courses, participate in chapel, present at a Mission and Ministry Forum and give at least one public lecture. He will also attend various public engagements and congregational events around the Twin Cities.
Ilomo sees the mutual opportunity of this international exchange. Already reaping benefits from resources at Luther, he is excited about the ongoing “exchange of experiences which expands attitudes toward global mission and imagination about how we can move forward together.”
