If you believe that the future of our church and congregations depends upon having a constant supply of well-trained pastors and lay leaders, then you should consider remembering this mission in your estate plans. By including the seminary in your plans, you help assure that your children and grandchildren will have the good news of Jesus Christ proclaimed to them. Isn’t that just as important as being sure that they are secure financially? With proper planning many people find that they are able to do more than they ever thought possible. If you wish to support this mission and assist with the training of future church leaders, consider the following sample bequest language:
A Specific Bequest:
“I leave the sum of $10,000 to Luther Seminary to be used as its board of directors directs.”
A Residuary Bequest:
“I leave 10 percent of all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate to Luther Seminary to be used as its board of directors directs.”
As always, you should consult your attorney for legal advice. Luther Seminary representatives eager to work with you and your advisors to develop and implement an estate plan that meets your goals and objectives. For more information please contact:
