Working Preacher’s podcasts reached an impressive milestone in January, hitting more than 1 million downloads. Working Preacher, a collection of educational resources from Luther Seminary, has three podcasts. “Sermon Brainwave” offers weekly conversation on Revised Common Lectionary readings, while the “Narrative Lectionary” podcast does the same for Narrative Lectionary readings.
“Working Preacher Books” discusses theological books published by Working Preacher in partnership with Fortress Press. Together, the podcasts offer hundreds of hours of insights and inspiration for Christian leaders.
The significant number of downloads, combined with nearly 260,000 views on Working Preacher’s YouTube channel, suggest that the podcasts have reached more than 1.3 million people since March 2020, said Ben McDonald Coltvet, associate director of digital content for Luther Seminary.
“These are amazing numbers, and it’s thanks to our faculty co-hosts and the continued commitment of our team to show up for recording sessions with insights, wisdom, humor, and compassion in each episode that we record,” McDonald Coltvet said.
