Luther Seminary held its 157th commencement on Sunday, May 31, at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. The class of 2026 includes more than 90 graduates.
Commencement weekend began with a baccalaureate service in the Chapel of the Incarnation on Saturday, May 30. Alan Padgett, professor of systematic theology and The Northwestern Lutheran Theological Seminary Chair of Theology, preached, and Steve Thomason โ15 Ph.D., dean of the chapel and associate professor of spiritual formation and discipleship, presided at Holy Communion. Kristofer Phan Coffman โ16 M.Div., assistant professor of New Testament, was the faculty speaker at commencement, and Erik Nelson โ26 M.Div. was the student speaker.
