Lose Named Academic Dean

David Lose, Marbury E. Anderson Professor of Biblical Preaching, was named academic dean of Luther Seminary, following Richard Bliese's election as president. Lose joined the faculty in July, 2000. Previously, he served as a pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Princeton Junction, N.J., and as a teaching fellow and visiting lecturer at Princeton Theological Seminary.

He is the author of Confessing Jesus Christ: Preaching in a Post-Modern World (Eerdmans, 2003), and two forthcoming books from Chalice Press: New Directions in Homiletics, and Preaching the Christian Story: Theology Alive for Proclamation.
